THE THREAD OF ATONEMENT
The thread of atonement is woven all throughout the Bible as seen in Old Testament stories and prophecies that foreshadow the coming One who would make atonement for sins with His own body and blood. This study will equip you with the ability to recognize these pointers that all lead to Jesus and His sacrifice for the sins of the world. You will also see that atonement is at the heart of the gospel, and that our mission involves calling people everywhere to this atonement that brings a life of reconciliation and peace, both now and for eternity. – with Pastor Tim Reed – Chapel
PRACTICAL CHRISTIAN LIVING – with Reverend Marlin Odom – Room 100
Unit 1: Kings of Judah: One might wonder how studying the history of God’s people and the lives of long-deceased kings might apply to Christians in the twenty-first century. This unit reminds us that the great truths of faith over doubt and despair, of trust in God over self-reliance, and of humility over arrogance—reminders we need today as they did in the days of Judah’s kings.
Unit 2: The Christian Family: A person’s family experiences can greatly impact their relationships with others, and even pose unique challenges in their walk with God. This unit examines what Scripture teaches about family from biological, social, and spiritual perspectives. It looks at God’s instructions regarding the foundations of a godly family, and can help us develop healthy relationships regardless of our past experience.
LADIES’ PRAYER – Chapel at 9am
The Quest – (10AM)
The crooked punctuation mark at the end of a sentence speaks of curiosity, interest, and perhaps doubt. A punctuation question is an invitation to vulnerability, to intimacy. The Bible does not shy away from such an invite. Over and over we see the people of God asking questions of their Creator. We also see the God of the universe asking questions of His creation. The Quest is a challenge to accept the invitation. In this six-week excursion with Jesus, Beth Moore uses questions from Scripture to lead you into intimacy with the One who knows you best. Learn to dig into the Word, to respond to the questions of God, and to bring your questions before Him. Let the crooked punctuation mark be the map that points you into a closer relationship with the Father. Began on November 7 (newcomers welcome). – with Reverend Rebecca Keefe in the Fireplace Room
Bible study is located in the Fireplace Room. Prayer at 9am in the Chapel prior to the study. In-Touch Women’s Study Students will be responsible for ordering their own study materials. You can do this through Bethany’s bookstore.

The purpose of CELEBRATE RECOVERY is to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes. By working and applying these principles, we begin to grow spiritually and become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our problems. Change takes place as we share our experiences, hopes and strengths with each other. We gain freedom from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, joy, serenity, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. This is a Christian twelve-step program for people who have hurts, habits and/or hang ups. For more information, please see our display in the foyer. – Lighthouse Auditorium
