The Bethany Choir & Orchestra will present the Easter musical “Love Took His Breath Away” Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018 at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Created by Joel Lindsey and arranged and orchestrated by Bradley Knight, the work focuses on the crucifixion of Jesus on Calvary for the sins of the world… that He was willing to sacrifice His life to bring redemption to all. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal Life.” John 3:16 (ESV). The love of God, the Father, was embodied in the Son, and Jesus went to the cross and died… because He loved us. And, on the third day, He was resurrected from the dead to conquer death, hell, and the grave, and restore fellowship with God, the Father, to all who believe in Him.
Accenting the music is a stunning video re-creation of the events of Jesus’ ministry and the Passion Week. Superbly edited by Bethany’s Media Director, Rob Sabonis, the video brings to life the Last Supper, betrayal, crucifixion, and resurrection and ascension. Come join us Easter Sunday morning, April 1, as we celebrate our risen Lord with “Love Took His Breath Away.”
