Sunday 9:00 am Classes
HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE – Many people struggle to understand the Bible and apply it to their lives. It may seem to you like there is a mysterious code or like only pastors or priests can understand it, but that’s not the case. In How to Study the Bible, you will learn principles of biblical interpretation that you can use in your own Bible study with a particular emphasis on application. Recommended book – Journey into God’s Word by Duvall & Hayes. – with Pastor Stephen Thee & Ken Smith at 9 am in Room 103
SPIRITUAL GROWTH AND EVANGELISM – In this class you will learn to intentionally follow Christ by developing a spiritual growth plan. You will also learn to share your faith with others. – with Pastor Rocky Burnette at 9 am in Room 203
A BEAUTIFUL DESIGN – God created us to function according to His perfect design, and for all of human history, our world has been male and female. But our ever-changing culture faces challenges due to sin. More than ever, the church needs to be a safe refuge for the gender-confused, the sexually broken, the single, the married, and the divorced. In this 9-session DVD study, Pastor Matt Chandler gives evidence that God’s plan for man and woman is the ultimate design. And life lived within this beautiful unchanging design leads to our greatest joy. Required Book: A Beautiful Design (available in the Bethany Book Store). – with Paul & Sacha Garcia-Mailloux & Pastor Chuck Schivley – Room 101

Unit 1: Good Lessons From Bad Examples – Part 1 – Bible characters were real people with flaws and weaknesses. Some overcame their struggles with the help of the Lord. Others stubbornly rejected God. This unit provides valuable faith lessons from individuals who, to one degree or another, provided bad examples.
Unit 2: Good Lessons From Good Examples – Part 2 – This continuation of the previous unit also looks at individuals who faced important challenges or decisions, but instead offered good examples in response. They show us the benefits of following God and honoring Him in good times and hard times alike.
THE FREEDOM OF FORGIVENESS – Join us for a practical perspective on forgiveness. All of us have been wounded or hurt, and forgiveness heals the wounds that won’t heal themselves. We will discuss and apply what forgiveness is, how we can forgive, and walking in the freedom of forgiveness, which is expressed clearly by David Augsburger. “Forgiveness restores the present, heals for the future, and releases from the past.” This class will be in July only. – with Pastor Ken Milton – Fireplace Room
IN CHRIST – Each person approaches the cross of Calvary in a unique condition mentally, emotionally, etc. Christ’s death and resurrection not only provide deliverance from sin’s guilt, shame and penalty, but also wholeness for everyone on every level of life. Let’s dig deep into the scripture to find the divine plan for wholeness available for all who choose to be in Christ. – with Pastor Tim Reed – Chapel
