The Media Ministry is responsible for many of the multimedia products associated with Bethany Assembly of God, which includes video production of the weekly informational video announcements or “Bethany News Network” (BNN), as well as other video productions. Using professional grade HD video cameras and audio recording devices, and edited by using a nonlinear digital editing suite, we produce professional videos of event promotions, advertisements, testimonies, and more.
The Media Ministry is also responsible for displaying the BNN, worship song lyrics, scripture messages, and any other special or informational videos onto the large screen in the Lighthouse auditorium during services. These presentations are controlled within the Media Booth located in the sanctuary’s balcony, which consists of sophisticated multimedia equipment. Presentation technicians control the projections using Easy Worship presentation software.
The video production team controls three remote HD video cameras located within the sanctuary during our services, taking commands from the Video Director who assembles the footage using these cameras, into live edited productions. These live productions are recorded to a computer’s hard drive, live streamed over the internet on Bethany’s website, on FaceBook Live, and our YouTube channel. The services are uploaded to Bethany’s website archive to be viewed at your convenience.
The Media Ministry’s lighting technicians control the sanctuary house lights, TV lights, colored archway, light bars and intelligent spotlights above the media booth. They work in coordination with the Presentation Technician to color coordinate the colored lights with the animated screen backgrounds. These lights help add color and effects to our services and special events.
SOUND & PODCAST PRODUCTION
The Sound Department is responsible for the sound during all services, as well as producing audio Podcasts of the church services and other audio recordings. Using state-of-the-art soundboards, microphones, amps, speakers and other equipment, the audio technicians constantly make adjustments during every service, both in the sanctuary Media Booth and in the Media Center, to make sure your audio experience at Bethany is a pleasant one.
Our Service videos and audio messages can be found under the Media dropdown menu. We record our Sunday services to videos and audio podcasts, and record our Wednesday evening services as audio podcasts.
GRAPHIC DESIGN & PHOTOGRAPHY
Many of the church’s graphic design and photography work is done within the Media Ministry, using professional computer graphic design software and professional grade digital still cameras to produce stunning and eye-catching products and photographs.
WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA
The Media Ministry is also responsible for designing and maintaining Bethany’s website as well as most social media venues. Bethany is increasing it’s use of this media to share church events, news and other important information with current church members, visitors and first time guests. Please connect with us, and share with your friends.
The Media Ministry is responsible for live streaming our services to our website, our FaceBook page, YouTube channel and the Church Center App. We also broadcast our Sunday, 9am service to the Town of Agawam’s cable channel 15. We also record the services for posting on our website’s media page.
The Media Ministry is always looking for volunteers to assist with the many media aspects during services and other projects. This ministry is only effective because of the volunteers who are engaged and serving. If you already have some aspect of media experience, or are willing to be trained, it’s a great teamwork oriented environment to get involved within the church, serve the Lord, and meet new people.
If you’re interested in serving the Lord by volunteering, using Media to help share the Word to bring more people to Christ, please contact the Media Director, ask someone at the Hospitality Counter, or click the Volunteer button to complete and submit the online volunteer form.
